About Ocean's Flavor Sea Salts:
About four years ago Al Kirchner and Alan Fisher the owners of Ocean's Flavor had the idea to produce a natural less sodium sea salt. After searching the world for a suitable location they came across a sleepy little town in Latin America which possessed the right environment, the ideal climate and the required processing support that would be needed to meet there projected sales goals for the future. While Al Kirchner worked on developing the technical side of the plan Alan Fisher took their ideas to market. Most major salt suppliers were called on as well as salt distributors from Washington to New York. Though each of the prospects were polite none of them could envision what Al and Alan had in mind and as such shunned the idea. "Needless to say in the early years things were hard but despite the many road blocks they never lost sight of their goal."

In late 2005, after much coaxing by Tekpak, Ocean's Flavors Master U.S. Distributor and packaging partner a last minute decision was made to participate in a major food related convention in Las Vegas. Of course registering late only meant getting one of the last booths on the last aisle in the far corner away from most major foot traffic but it was worth the financial gamble, and after all it was Las Vegas. So, with very limited funds, the borrowed booth and a little bit of literature (not very professional) Ocean's Flavor prepared to meet the public that is if the public could find the booth. From the moment the show opened until it closed 4 days later the little 10 foot booth stuck on the back row at the end of the aisle was full of prospects and interested people. What was projected as a work and play vacation turned out to be all work and no play, and definitely not a vacation. They came with no expectations but departed with a foothold in the market which was so desperately needed in order to see their dreams become reality. The single thought of producing and selling 100% natural less sodium sea salt just might be possible after all. Little did they know that the salt business as they knew it would soon be nothing but a memory, because the flood gates of opportunity were about to open.

It's safe to say that in just two short years Ocean's Flavor has become the world's leader in the sale and distribution of "natural" less sodium sea salts. Furnishing natural less sodium sea salts to soup, vegetable, ingredient, seasonings, frozen food, beef & poultry producing companies both domestically and internationally. Ocean's Flavor continues to build its brand while sticking to the single premise of delivering a quality, good tasting healthy sea salt which of course is a necessary requirement for each and every one of us.
